We also repair, and restore old cutters, light bob- sleighs and buggies. We use steam bent hickory and white ash wooden parts with iron reinforcing. The boxes are made of basswood, cedar, and plywood on an ash frame, with furniture grade foam on all of our seats. The back of the seats are spring reinforced, with 3 inch foam cushioning, the seat with 4 inch foam, all covered in low UV coloured Velvet Diamond Tuft Upholstery that we Scotch Gard with matching floor carpet. are light, approx. 100 - 150 pounds (including sleigh and shafts) and give
a very comfortable ride. We
at Outram's Cutter Manufacturing are considering as an option a box with
interchangeable dash boards and a sleigh chassis for winter use and a buggy
chassis for summer use to optimize use for year round enjoyment.
